NOTE! This V2.7.1.0 is a fix release for V2.7.0.0 which inherited
an unreported bug from V2.6.0.0. These version wrote "user" and PREV
files with the memory name tag and frequency in the wrong data field
positions for memory Bank MEMO/MAIN only. When these files were
loaded then a data exception could have occurred. This V2.7.1.0
corrects this error and also supported the correct loading of an files
written by V2.6.0.0 or V2.7.0.0. My apologies of any inconvenience
caused.

with BASS Write error
Known Issues in V2.7.0.0
- "Save Settings" and PREVnnn data files in V2.6.0.0 and V2.7.0.0 have
problem, not reported to me, where the MEMO/MAIN data saved in the data
file has the memory tag name in the wrong file position. This can
result in a data exception when trying to load a "Data Save" file.
As nobody has reported this issue when loading a previously saved data
file then I can sort of assume that this data save and load function is
not used in anger. I have fix that will load these old files and
correctly write the data in future. I just wish someone had
pointed out this issue a long time ago!
- "Load Settings" error when loading data file with "FCM=MRnnn"
data record - causes command error
- When in VFoA or VFoB Mode then setting of Cursor Memory is not allowed
- causes command error

NEW in V2.4.0.0
- Add - New Audio Recording system using BASS and BASS.NET sound library
functions (BASS.DLL)
- Add - DX-SR9 firmware message if not V1.06 or greater (SDR supported)
- Add - Windows Version Information
- Add - .NET 4.5 now required (by BASS)
Fixes in V2.4.0.0
- Fix - Only audio noise is recorded on Windows 10 systems
Known Issues in V2.4.0.0
- If you are running on a 32 bit Windows OS version then you will get an
exception thrown by the included BASS based recording function. If
you encounter this (only one person has so far) then please contact me
and I will supply a replacement BASS.DLL file that will resolve this
issue.
- On Windows 10 when attempting to record you may get a BASS error code
of "BASS Error -_waveWriter - BASS Error Code 5". This is
almost certainly because in your privacy settings you have APP access to
microphone turned off. You need to change these settings
accordingly. Note there is an overall setting and a per
application setting.
- All SR8 and SR9 transceivers fail to respond to API commands to
transmit. Alinco are aware of this issue. DriveR8 will
however display transmit status when you are using your rig's
transmit controls.
- Memory Tag Names can contain characters invalid for audio file
recording files

variations
Fixes in V2.3.0.0
- Fix - DX-SR9 errors due to SDR and Side-Tome Monitoring current mode
dependancies
- Fix - DX-SR9 has SDR and not IQ functions
Known Issues in V2.3.0.0
- All SR8 and SR9 transceivers fail to respond to API commands to
transmit. Alinco are aware of this issue. DriveR8 will
however display transmit status when you are using your rig's
transmit controls.
- DX-SR9 models MUST have firmware Version 1.06 or greater installed
otherwise program loading will fail on the AL~RR_SDR command
- Windows 10 users may find that when recording with DriveR8 then
only noise is actually recorded

- Fix - IQ mode function error due to "rogue" model firmware support
Known Issues in V2.2.0.0
- A DriveR8 user with an Alinco DX-SR9 has reported some issues due to
the SR9 not responding to some commands DriveR8 sends. We are
working on this and are making good progress. As no other
user has reported the same issues then I'm assuming there is currently
only one SR9 user out there so am taking the time to get test versions
tested instead of rushing out a patch/fix. The way the SR9 is
handling and responding to some commands is proving to be interesting to
say the least so getting it right is my priority.

Known Issues in V2.0.0.0
Not all model variants of the Alinco DX-R and DX-S series of receivers are
known to the Author at this time. If your model is not recognised by
the DriveR8 program then DriveR8 assumes it can tune your receiver from
135kHz to 30Mz. If recognition fails you will receive a message asking
you to email the author with the information requested in the message.
The program will continue to work but the minimum and maximum frequency will
be limited to 135kHz to 30MHz.

functions thst the DX-R8 receiver supports. I have fixed these issues
with the help of a DX-SR8 user and will after more extensive testing
